Mt. Airy USA believes that by ensuring that Mt. Airy ’s streets are clean, well lighted, and kept in good repair, we send a message to the community that Mt. Airy is a good place to live and work. We believe that by tackling quality of life issues such as litter, we create a sense of pride in residents and business owners.

In 2003, The Avenue Project launched The Avenue Ambassadors, a main street maintence program. The Avenue Ambassadors are a team of trained service workers who provide a cleaner, safer environment for shoppers, merchants and employees on Germantown Avenue , between Washington Lane and Cresheim Valley Drive . The Avenue Ambassadors provide our corridor with regular and reliable cleaning of our sidewalks, streets and gutters, on-the-spot assistance to shoppers and visitors needing help with parking, directions, etc.
